Prayer Prompts: Week 2- Knowing God (Ephesians 1:17)
Day 1 Lord, as I read your Word today, reveal to me your Truth and how to apply it to my life. Bring to life what I know about you. Let me not just settle for knowing about you. Make it real in my life Lord.
Day 2 Lord, reveal foolishness, pride, and/or obstinance in my heart today.
Day 3 Pray Ephesians 1:17 for those in your life group and/or family by name.
Day 4 Lord, as I think about the people in my life who don’t know you, I pray that you would reveal yourself to _____________.
Day 5 Lord, I want to know you better, not just know about you. Will you reveal to me anything that is in the way of growing in intimacy with you? (Spend time in silence listening to the Lord and write down anything He brings to your mind.)

I Pray: Week 2
What is your favorite thing to study about? What’s the difference between knowing about that thing and really knowing it intimately?
As we’ve been praying for people by name, has God given you any opportunities to serve or connect with any of these people?
How did it go last week praying daily for thankfulness? Anything to share from that?
How have you seen (or currently see) the difference between knowing about God, and having a growing, intimate relationship with Him in your life? What feeds or gets in the way of either?
How does Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17 challenge, strengthen, contrast with how you typically pray for yourself and others? What’s a key take-away for you that you’ll apply to your prayer life?
Read 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 – How do you see the relationship between the work of the Spirit in revealing, giving wisdom/understanding, and knowledge of God in these verses?
Looking at Proverbs 1:22 – What attitudes of your heart (often or currently) stand in the way of you walking in the wisdom of God?
How does knowing God relate with living on mission with God? How does this inform how you live individually and us as a life group?
Prayer: Spend time praying Ephesians 1:17 in specific ways for one another. Spend time in listening prayer asking God to reveal areas for further prayer or direction based on things you’ve already prayed for.
*Memorize Ephesians 1:18 * Read/listen through Ephesians this week.
