Life Group Q’s
Life Group Rhythms Wk 1
Loving God, Loving One Another

*The 1st 2 weeks of life groups this year will not be discussing the sermon.

Pause the video & discuss initial thoughts presented in the opening of the video. Then, un-pause to continue to the next section.

Rhythms to help us grow in loving God:

  1. Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17
  • Describe the authority of Scripture and how it can be used in our lives. What would this look like in our life group?
  • Life groups are not about growing in head knowledge about the Bible alone. Rather, we are to be growing in applying and living out what we are learning through our times together. (A) Can we commit to asking how we intend to apply what we’ve learned and how it is going living it out?

(B) What would this look like in our life group?

  1. Read Acts 2:42
  • What role does prayer currently have in our life group?
  • How can we make sure that prayer is not a formality for opening and closing our times together, but rather a growing part of how we seek God together?
  • What makes you uncomfortable about prayer? How can we help you?

*Un-Pause Video

Rhythms to help us grow in loving one another:

  1. How often will we share a meal together as a life group? (Weekly, monthly, quarterly) (A) Who can help us plan and organize these?
  1. What would be some things that would be fun for our life group to do together?
  1. How often will we plan for a “fun night” together? (1x/month, 1x/quarter?)
  1. Do you know what your spiritual gifts are? (If not, please talk to your life group leader who can help you discover your spiritual gifts)
  • How could your gifts and the various gifts in this group be used to serve our group and our mission of making God’s love known to those around us?

Prayer: Spend time praying together, committing yourselves and your life group to what God has for you this year. Ask God to speak into the areas you can grow in as a life group and what stands in the way of you making those changes.
