Ephesians 5:1-20

The aroma of Christ > The stench of self-righteousness

In reconstruction we must ask; is more of my life being surrendered and changed by Jesus?

Do not become partners in sin.         Ephesians 5:7 (rephrased)

Walk as (live as) a child of light:

Verse 7 – don’t partner with sin

Verse 8 – live in new identity

Verse 8-9 – be good, right, and full of truth

Verse 11-14 – expose darkness.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk— not as unwise people but as wise.
Ephesians 5:15

Verses:
Ephesians 5:1-20. 1 Corinthians 1:13. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8. Galatians 1:4. 1 Peter 2:13-17. Hebrews 8:10

School Prayer Walk
We encourage you to go to the local school you are most naturally connected with and prayer walk the site. You can do this alone, with friends and family, your life group, or others you know at the school. Here are some prayer prompts and some specific ways you can pray for the staff and students:

Prayer Prompts

  1. Lord, please prompt me in which students or staff to pray for specifically today.
  2. Is there anything that would get in the way of me serving You today on this campus? I confess those things.
  3. How can I be your ambassador today to this campus?
  4. Is there any work of the enemy I need to be aware of today?
  5. What blessing can I pray for these students and staff today?

Prayer for Teachers and Staff

  1. Lord, give grace, strength, and endurance to teachers and staff who are serving our kids in the midst of numerous challenges.
  2. Lord, give teachers and para-educators creativity to respond to the different needs of each student.
  3. Lord, give wisdom to administration as they make important decisions that impact students and families.
  4. Lord, help teachers and staff who follow you to be a light for you on this campus. Give them courage, boldness, and grace.

Prayer for Students:

  1. Lord, guard the hearts and minds of each student from words, ideas, and behaviors that are not in line with who they are in you.
  2. Lord, make your love known to each student, and establish their identity in who you’ve created them to be.
  3. Lord, bring healing to students who are hurting, lost, and anxious.
  4. Lord, help the students who follow you to be a light for you on this campus. Give them courage, boldness, and grace.
