Read Genesis 11:1-4. How do you see the inclination to build your own safety, security, success play out in your life? In what ways is this pursuit harmful to your relationship with God and His kingdom purposes?
How does seeing the thread of God’s glory among the nations from Genesis-Revelation impact the way you see God, others, and your life? (B) How does it give you perspective about the concerns you have for our world and national opposition to the ways of God?
Read Revelation 5:9 & 7:9. What makes you excited about these verses? What makes you uncomfortable?
Read Ephesians 2:18-22. What attitudes or actions do you see in yourself that can strike at the heart of the unity of God’s Church? What are other attitudes or actions that we need to guard ourselves against?
Prayer: As a group, pray for: (A) God’s global Church – those facing persecution, those in need of the Gospel, missionaries and local churches sharing the Gospel and discipling others. (B) The unity of New Bridge around the mission God has given us. Pray against threats to our unity. (C) Ask God to expose, and confess anything that God has revealed that is not in line with His heart and His mission.
