Going Deeper
Jon talked about us being God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10a). How are you seeing God’s artistic work in your life (currently and/or over time)?

Read 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 – Discuss the interaction you see here between what God has done in you and what He desires to do through you.

How do you personally see the motivation of fear or pride behind the works you do to others or “for God”?

When you think about where you live, work, learn (or kids learn), and play (hobbies, recreation, gyms…), do you see opportunities God has uniquely given you to be His minister of reconciliation?

Spend time discussing how the depths and components of the Gospel speak to the hesitations, barriers, obstacles you feel about engaging in Gospel work to those around you. Be as specific as you can be.

How does God’s work in us individually and in community as a life group motivate us to be active in God’s work through us as a life group?

Prayer: As a group, pray and ask God to show you the unique relationships and opportunities He has given you to engage in Gospel works around/through you. What names come to mind? What places/situations?

What action can you take as a life group based on what God has shown you in prayer?
