Life Grp Q’s
“Love One Another”
1/20/19

1 John 4:7-12 & 19-21 CSB

Opener

When you think of a great time in your life, who were some of the people that were with you? How did they contribute to what you experienced?

Review

In the message this week, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

Going Deeper

•Share a time you put your heart “out there?” How was it received? Would you do it again?

•Is there any place right now your heart is genuinely “out there” or are you guarding and keeping it safe?

•Mark talked about the tendency to ‘drift’ from God (Heb.3:12-14). This can happen through isolation, love of comfort, fear, distractions, other opportunities, etc., etc. What can cause you to drift?

•What would a relationship look like that is governed by Eph.4:15 and Gal.5:22-23? One or two people share an example of this from your life.

My Request

(fill in the blanks or rewrite in your words and then read it out loud to your group)

“Please help me grow. If I drift, it’s probably due to _____________________. Pray for me. Come after me lovingly, kindly, with humility, gentleness, patience & self-control. Because I desire to love Jesus above all, and want

to be like Him, I give you permission to help me see the things I may miss.

Thank you – in advance.”
