Life Grp Q’s
“Crucified King”
3/17/19

John 19:16b-24 CSB

Opener

Share an experience of someone sacrificing for you. How did that affect your relationship with them?

Review

In the message this week, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

Going Deeper

In Romans 11:33-12:21, we read about the motivations values and ethics of serving in God’s kingdom:

-What must motivate sacrificial service to God, our king? (11:33-12:1)

-Where does our obedience to God begin (12:2)? How does this happen?

-Are you using your gifts in a way that is “holy and pleasing to God?”

(12:1, 3-8). If so, how? What holds you back from using your gifts in this

way? (love God)

-Which command in verses 9-13 do you find most helpful to you,

right now, in showing love to the King’s family? (love one another)

-Which command in verses 14-21 do you find most helpful to you,

right now, in showing love to those outside the King’s family?

(make his love known)

Application

How can you show Christ-motivated sacrificial love to someone this week?
